A GLASS OF MILK

One day, a poor boy was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.

The young lady thought he looked hungry; so she brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?”

“You don’t owe me anything!” she replied. “Mother has taught us never to accept pay for kindness.”

He said: “Then I thank you from my heart.” As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God Almighty became stronger. He had been ready to give up and quit; but continued...

Years later, that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the city; where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor’s gown he went in to see her. He recognised her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life within his capacity. Form that day he gave special attention to the case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.
She read these words:

“PAID IN FULL WITH ONE GLASS OF MILK” signed Dr, Howard Kelly.

Tears of Joy filled her eyes; as her happy heart prayed: “Thank you, O Almighty, Most Merciful of those who show Mercy, that You spread Your Kindness and Mercy through Human Hearts and Minds.”

• Abu Hurairah (R.A.) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaiyhi Wassallam) said, that whosoever gives in charity, even such a small thing as a date, Allah Ta’ala takes this charity, provided that it is form legitimate income; the Allah Ta’ ala fosters this charity and increases it, even a date becomes equal to a mountain. (BUKHARI, MUSLIM)

• Aqaba bin Amir (R.A.) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaiyhi Wassallam) said that if there is nothing to give in charity, say something good to the people and if this is also not possible, do not cause injury or harm to anyone. It will amount to charity. (BAZAR, IBN HABAN)

LOVED ONE

An old scholar was asked by a student. 'You have studied Islam for many years, what have you learnt?' The scholar said '1 of the things I have learnt is EVERYONE has a loved one. When he goes to the grave, he leaves his loved one. Therefore, I made my loved one my good deeds; that way, they will be with me in the grave'

How beautiful. May ALLAH make us all aware of our purpose in life, Aameen

SAND AND STONE

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some part of the journey they had an argument and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hut, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
“TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.”

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mine and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on stone:
“TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.”

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you write in the sand and now ,you write on a stone, why?”

The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE.

• Just as much as you would like to be forgiven on the Day of Judgement, forgive t hat much. (Hazrat ILYAAS (R.A.)

• Abdullah bin Umar (R.A.) says that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaiyhi Wassallam) has said, that he should do a favour to one, who does a favour to him; and if there is nothing to give, he should pray for him and take it, that he has given a return for the favour. (TIRBANI; NISAI)

• Usama bin Zaid (R.A.) has reported that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaiyhi Wassallam) has said, that the return for the favour of the benefactor can be made by praising him. One who says: “”May Allah give you a better reward” has done, what is needed for praise. (TIRMIDHI)

Islamic Messeges

  • Few reasons for our stress and sorrow;

    1.  Greed
    2. Jealousy
    3. Extended hopes
    4. Having a hard heart
    5. Dry eyes (that never cry)
    6. Keenness to amass worldly things
  • If you look at the people who are given more than you; then also look at the ones who are less fortunale. Otherwise you will never be satisfied or thankful.
  • O Allah, distance us from our mistakes as You have distanced the East from the West
  • We always feel that Allah's
    blessings never come on time
when we call, but the truth is,
they are always on time but, we
are always in a hurry !!!
  • Best friends understand when you say forget it,
Wait forever when you say just a minute,
and Stay when you say leave me alone.
  • No matter how far you have gone on the wrong road, turn
    back.”
  • When nails grow,We cut the nails, not our fingers...!!!
Similarly when the misunderstandings raise, We should cut misunderstandings,
     not the Relations... ♥
  • ♥ The best love story for a Muslim would be finding the one who would make his/her Imaan rise, who would accompany one in racing towards the pleasure of Allah & His beautiful Jannah! What could be more blessed & sweeter than that? ♥
  • Don't worry about anything;
    Instead, Pray about everything.
Tell ALLAH what you need and thank Him for all He has done .....
  • When someone corrects you,
    don't feel bad or embarrassed.

Sometimes that is just a way ALLAH wants to remind you how to be better .....

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:

"The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H turned to face the Stone,

then he put his lips on it and wept for a long time.

Then he turned and saw 'Umar bin Khattab weeping.

He said: 'Umar, this is the place where tears should be shed:"
