THREE MEN
Three men came to Husain (Radiyallahu Anhu). The FIRST MAN complained about the scarcity of rain and Husain (Radiyallahu Anhu) answered, "Increase in seeking forgiveness from ALLAH."
The SECOND MAN complained of being barren and not having children. Husain (Radiyallahu Anhu) said, "Increase in seeking forgiveness from ALLAH."
The THIRD MAN complained about arid conditions and a lack of fertile soils, and Husain (Radiyallahu Anhu) said, "Increase in seeking forgiveness from ALLAH."
Those seated with him said, "Each one of these three had a different complain, yet you gave them the same answer." Husain (Radiyallahu Anhu) asked them whether they had not read the words of ALLAH;
"ASK FORGIVENESS FROM YOUR LORD; VERILY HE IS OFT-FORGIVING; HE WILL SAIN RAIN TO YOU IN ABUNDANCE; AND GIVE YOU INCREASE IN WEALTH AND CHILDREN, AND BESTOW ON YOU GARDENS AND BESTOW ON YOU RIVERS." [QURAN 71:11]
STATUS OF WOMEN
A scholar sat next to a General on a flight. The general asked the scholar what is his ocupation.
Scholar: I'm into big business.
General: But what business exactly?
Scholar: I deal with ALLAH.
General: Ah. So you're a Muslim religious leader. I have one problem with you Muslims. You oppress your women.
Scholar: How do we oppress our women?
General: You make your women cover up completely and you keep them in your homes.
Scholar: Ah, I have a problem with you people. You oppress Money.
General: WHAT! How can we oppress money?
Scholar: You keep your money hidden away, in wallets banks and safes. You keep it covered up. Why don't you display it in public if it's a beautiful thing?
General: It will get stolen obviously.
Scholar: You keep your money hidden because it is so valuable. We value the true worth of women far, far more. Therefore, these precious jewels are not for display to one and all. They are kept in honour and dignity.
WHY WOMEN CRY
A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"
"Because I need to" she said.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," his dad answered carelessly.
The little boy, still wondering why women cry, finally asked the old wise shaikh (scholar). "He surely knows the answer", he thought. "Ya Shaikh! Why do women cry so easily?"
The Shaikh answered: "When Allah made the woman she had to be made so special. He made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. He gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that comes from her children. He gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. He gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child hurts her very badly. He gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. He gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And lastly, He gave her a tear. This is hers and only hers exclusively to use whenever she needs it. She needs no reason, no explanation, its hers."
"You see my son, the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the beauty of her face, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."
The little boy got the answer and never asked the question again.
Oh ALLAH please give us the strength to treat the women in our life in the correct manner! Ameen
THE PRECIOUS JEWEL
Sultan Mahmood had a servant whose name was Ayyaz. Ayyaz was well known for his good manners and wisdom.
Once, Sultan Mahmood was holding a precious jewel in his hand while sitting with his ministers. He told one of the ministers to break the jewel. Since the jewel was very expensive, the minister refused to break it. Then the Sultan told another minister to break it. He also denied to break the jewel. One by one all the ministers refused to break the precious jewel due to its great value. Now, Sultan Mahmood passed the jewel to Ayyaz and told him to break it. Ayyaz immediately took the stone to his hand and threw it hard on the floor. The jewel shattered into pieces.
The Sultan asked Ayyaz why he broke the jewel while others denied to do so.
Ayyaz said "The jewel is valuable, but your order is more valuable."
we should learn from this story that even if the things of this world are very precious and valuable, the orders of ALLAH are much more valuable. So, we should follow them.
WIND BLOWS
Years ago a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the awful storms that raged across the ocean, wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops.
As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received a steady stream of refusals. Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached the farmer. "Are you a good farmhand?" the farmer asked him.
"Well, I can sleep when the wind blows," answered the little man.
Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the little man's work.
Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore. Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed next door to the hired man's sleeping quarters. Farmer shook the little man and yelled, "Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!"
The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, "No sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows."
Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm. To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down. Nothing could blow away.
The farmer then understood what his hired man meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while the wind blew.
When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically, you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the wind blows through your life? The hired man in the story was able to sleep because he had secured the farm against the storm.
We with faith secure ourselves against the storms of life by putting our trust in ALLAH, Our Noble Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him), We don't need to understand, and we just need to hold His hand to be secure in the midst of the storms. Sleep well!
